I am teaching myself knitting & I love it so far. I mostly crochet. I love the things you do. I am learning how to manoover around in the computer/online stuff. I dont have enough knowledge to blog or anything. I hope that isn’t a precurser . Let me know please.
I have been watching you on youtube I find it wonderful how you share your daughters life needs (Damina is it?) I have a son named Derick that has special needs. Some of the things you you have talked about have been so spot on with Derick. I could never get get him tested
he is 24yrs old. High school graduated. he is a wonderful young man but still lives with us & will always need to live with someone. He has three older brothers who are great with him. But I do worry I am not doing all I should for him.How can I learn more about how to help him get things in life or is it me myself that needs to learn & teach my older sons how to help him?
Thanks so much for taking the time to comment here!
I’ll have to send Mom your way; I’m usually the one who keeps up on the Blog. I know that we are still learning ourselves. The Arc looks like a good resource (I have a link the shownotes on this Blog, on Ravelry, and in the YouTube notes underneath the video) and has some good action-plans for those with family members who are developmentally delayed or for some other reason still need significant family support. I feel like I have learned so much more during this Autism Awareness this year, but there is so much more I have to learn. Davina can never live on her own, either, and she will always live with either Mom & Dad or with me.
Thanks once more for watching and for contacting us!
